Today, June 7, we spent our day in Houston, TX. More specifically at Johnson Space Center! We took a tram around the campus of the space center. We saw a real mission control room, saw a mock up building, rockets in a rocket garden, and heard a story about a Texas long horn bull named Satan. Satan lives at the space center with many other Texas long horns that are part of a student project for future farmers with a champion bull that's worth over half a million! Anyways, Satan is known for breaking out of his pen three to four times a year! He rams cars and tour trams until security can catch and get him back with the other bulls! We also saw videos and presentations on space, space travel and space travel history, and life as an astronaut, including how they go to the bathroom. Also, we landed a flight simulator of the space shuttle. Mom and J.T. landed the Endeavor succesfully, but Dad, J.T. and I crashed the shuttle! Unfortunatley, we found out that the space shuttle program is 28 years old and is coming to an end. There will only be 2 more shuttle launches, including one this Saturday. :( The next space program is being built even as you read this blog called Orion. :) Tomorrow we are going to San Antonio, and I hope we never have to have a problem!
